Funifytools Utility Sharing #1 — Simple & Private QR Code Generator

Hello everyone! 👋

Today, I’d like to share a small but very handy web utility that I personally built.

As some of you may already know, besides running this blog, I also operate my own personal website — a little playground where I create and collect all sorts of useful mini tools that I need from time to time.

Of course… I’ll admit there are a few tools that make me wonder, “Will anyone ever use this?” 😅 But funnily enough, many of them turned out to be surprisingly useful — so I kept making more, and now there’s quite a collection!

Recently, after visiting AI FESTA 2025, I realized just how often we use QR codes in everyday life. QR for event check-in, QR for booth participation, QR for prize entries — they were literally everywhere!

What used to be just a quick way to open a link has now become an essential connection tool — bridging people and expanding experiences on the spot.

That experience reminded me of a QR code generator page I built on my own website a while ago. And I thought, “Hey, this might actually be useful for my blog readers too.”

So I decided to start a small ‘Funifytools Utility Sharing’ series here, introducing some of the tools I’ve made on my personal site.

And for the very first post in that series — let’s begin with this simple but powerful QR Code Generator.

How It Works

Using it is incredibly simple.

  1. Visit the page.
    👉 Try it here

  2. Enter the text or URL you want to convert.
(For example: website links, email addresses, text messages, or phone numbers.)

Input box for QR code content
  3. Choose the foreground and background colors of the QR code.

Color picker for QR code colors
  4. Optionally, add a small memo or note.

    Optional memo field
  5. Click Generate, and the QR code will instantly appear.

Generate button to create QR code
  6. Click Download to save it as a PNG image.

Download the generated QR code as PNG

That’s it! No login, no registration, no data tracking — just a clean, simple, and secure QR generator that does exactly what you need.

Why It’s Simple but Powerful

This tool runs as a static page on my personal site. That means there are no unnecessary server calls — everything happens directly in your browser.

In other words:
✅ It’s fast.
✅ It’s lightweight.
✅ And it never stores or shares your input data.

When I prepare presentation slides or teaching materials, I often embed links using QR codes made with this generator. It’s quick, reliable, and private — just how I like it.

Now you might ask, “Why build your own when there are already so many QR generators out there?”

Well… yes, there are many — but most come with too many ads, or they force you to create an account, or worse, they might store the content you put into your QR code.

I understand ads are needed to support a website, but some are just too overwhelming…

So instead, I decided to make my own — a simple, ad-free, browser-only QR generator that doesn’t send anything to a server.

Open to Feedback

The reason I’m recommending this utility page isn’t just to show off something I made.

Right now, I’m probably the only one using it, but if more people try it and share their thoughts, I believe it can become even better.

And who knows — if it gets popular enough, maybe someday I can even add… top banner ads! +.+
(ahem 😅 just kidding… kind of. Please understand my tiny bit of wishful thinking!)

Since I built this tool myself, I can update and improve it anytime if needed. Within my capabilities, I’ll continue refining and upgrading it.

In any case, this QR Code Generator was built with three clear principles in mind:

  • 100% free
  • No registration required
  • No personal data stored

If you ever need a quick, secure way to create a QR code, please give it a try — and feel free to leave your feedback or suggestions. 🙏

Thank you so much for reading. Wishing you all a happy and creative day ahead! 🌿
